Kartik Tyagi

Position: 2022-2023 Senior Class President

Status: Incoming

Hometown: Cary, NC

Bio: Pursuing a degree in BSPH Health Policy and Management, Kartik understands how taxing these past few years have been and looks forward to a senior year that celebrates the success, achievement, and accomplishments of each member of our graduating class. Kartik hopes to keep at heart these very themes in leading senior class marshals, organizing giving and senior campaigns, interfacing with the General Alumni Association, and executing senior-specific events and programming. Kartik shares some insights that led him to this role.

Good leaders lead, but great leaders serve.” It is this motto that has propelled both his work and my drive–within and outside of the Executive Branch. Kartik’s passion for empowering and uplifting student voices across the Carolina community has inspired his service to the Undergraduate Executive Branch and to the Student Body this past year.

“I am thankful to have had the opportunity to develop these passions in serving as Assistant Coordinator for Harvard Medical School’s Global COVID-19 Response Technical Support Group, as a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians’ America Needs More Family Doctors Collective Impact Initiative, as an Alumni Policy Ambassador for NAF: Be Future Ready, and as International President-Elect for HOSA-Future Health Professionals, Inc.”

Fun Fact: Kartik has been a vegetarian his whole life! You’ll find him trying out new, delicious vegetarian recipes!
